Chattanooga Police remind public that move over law includes tow trucks after driver breaks both legs in disturbing video

A tow truck driver says he is not sure he’ll ever work an interstate tow again after a serious accident that broke both his legs is caught on video.

The accident happened on Interstate 24 in Chattanooga, Tennessee last week when tow truck driver Ben Moore was attempting to tow a vehicle on the side of the interstate.

According to News Channel 9, Moore is seen on dash cam standing next to his truck when suddenly he is hit by a passing car.

“I saw my leg dangling there and blood pouring out of both my pant legs, and I could hear the desperation on the other people’s voices that were on scene, I didn’t think I was ever going to see my family again. I really thought right there I was just gonna die on the side of the highway,” he said of the incident.

Moore is currently healing from two broken legs, two broken feet, and a broken hand.

“I don’t know if I’ll be able to mentally be able to handle towing anymore, at least on the interstate. I mean, maybe in you know parking lots or things like that,” Moore says.
