Police in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, said that numerous driver and vehicle violations during a recent traffic stop on a commercial vehicle.

At 9:30 a.m. on October 12, the Dickson City Police Department (DCPD) performed a traffic stop on a commercial vehicle on Main Avenue.

According to police, the commercial vehicle was 11,000 pounds overweight.

Officers also located a faulty trailer breakaway.

The commercial vehicle “was inspected previously and failed to correct issues cited,” DCPD said.

The vehicle was placed out-of-service and impounded.

Police also discovered that the driver did not possess the required medical certification card.

“The operator could not communicate in English as required to operate a commercial vehicle and cited in a previous inspection report. U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) ran a check and the operator is in the county illegally and was taken into their custody,” DCPD said.

Police did not release the identity of the commercial vehicle driver.
