A dump truck was placed out of service on Wednesday after an officer noticed that it was completely lacking front brakes during an inspection.
The dump truck was stopped by a Ministry of Transportation Officer on Lorne Avenue East in Stratford, Ontario, Canada on September 23rd.
According to Stratford Police Service, the dump truck was loaded at the time of the inspection, but had no front brakes. The truck was then taken off the roadway and placed out of service.
“A loaded dump truck without the required brakes is a major hazard on our roadways,” said police.
“Conducting proper pre-trip inspections on your commercial vehicles can save a life.”
