Long Beach police released photographs Thursday of a truck driver who fled the scene of a fatal accident with a man on a bicycle as they continue to search for him.
The accident happened on September 5th in Long Beach, California. Long Beach Police did not release the photographs of the truck driver or his truck until Thursday, October 8th. Police are now asking for help in identifying the truck driver.
According to Patch Long Beach, a semi truck was exiting a restaurant parking lot near West Pacific Coast highway and Canal Avenue when it collided with 68-year-old Kevin Moran on a bicycle. The truck driver then fled the scene.

Police were initially called to the scene on reports of a man who had fallen off of his bike. Moran was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day. Police only realized that a vehicle had been involved in the accident when a medical examiner determined that his injuries were caused by a traffic collision.
Police have since released photos obtained from surveillance video in an attempt to identify and locate the driver. Speed is being investigated as a possible factor.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, has footage of the incident, or recognizes the truck driver is urged to contact Collision Investigation Detail Detective Paredes at 562-570-7358.
